Weather workers from the Nahua lineage of Don Lucio Campos

The Granicero Opening and Closing weather ceremonies are held the first week in May and the first week in November each year in Tepoztlán, Morelos, Mexico at the Mayoria of Don David Wiley. These ceremonies date back to the beginning of time, honoring the natural seasonal windows, the ideal times to communicate with the forces of weather.

In addition, initiated weather workers also lead local weather ceremonies in different areas throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. Please contact workingforweather@keepsthefire.org if you would like more information about ceremonies in your area or if you would like to join us in Mexico for our annual Opening and Closing ceremonies.
